Dr Mark Earl completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide. He then worked in rural communities in South Australia before completing a Master of Science in Dentistry at the University of London. He subsequently became a Fellow, by examination, of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons. He holds a Diploma from the Australian Society of Hypnosis in Clinical Hypnosis.

Dr Earl is heavily involved in restorative dentistry, in which he is highly qualified and experienced. When he is not practicing in the office he is a visiting Research Fellow and Clinical Instructor at the University of Adelaide.
