FAQ Teeth cleaningQ. How often should I brush my teeth?

A. It is necessary to remove disease causing dental plaque from the teeth and gum surfaces at least once a day. This is particularly important for removing plaque under the gums and in between the teeth where most dental problems occur. The purpose of brushing is to remove bacterial plaque. It is best to remove plaque i.e. brush teeth, before eating. It is a myth that brushing makes teeth whiter; in fact too much brushing removes enamel and results in thinner and more yellow teeth.
